As a full time art teacher I teach 5th - 12th grade and have 20 contact hours per week. I also supervise an intern for five hours every week and write my own curriculum in conjunction with the Michigan state standards. Teaching has become one of my greatest passions, and I love seeing students go from discovery, practice, and into eventual mastery.

I teach drawing, painting, ceramics, collage, fiber arts, digital art, photography, and art history. Additionally, I work with the elementary art teacher to produce an annual art exhibition at the end of every school year. I sort hundreds of projects from all my classes and group them into collections for this massive event. I also work on fundraising for the program year round and incorporate these donations to fuel the exhibition.
